I'm an easy going, happy-go-lucky quadriplegic.
I also think I'm a fertility clinic because my aide who does this job now just informed me she is pregnant and is now the 4th aide in 2 years who needed to give their notice because they're pregnant.
? Transfers are done with a ceiling track system and an electric hoist similar to a hoyer (no lifting).
Time:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6pm 9:
30pm.
Description:
? Make and feed me dinner I'll eat anything short of creeping and crawling things ? Transfer me to bed it's a ceiling track system with a hoist so no lifting (I might flap my wings during the flight and sing I believe I can fly) ? Undress me in bed I weigh 135 lbs so I'm easy to rock-n-roll ? Give me a suppository and transfer me to my shower chair the transfer flight is round-trip ? Back me over the toilet and be prepared for digital stimulation google it (digital stimulation for spinal cord injury) ? Roll me to the shower for shampoo and soap down my hair is short and fading fast (sniffle sniffle) ? Setup my bed for return flight while I sing in the shower and make sounds like coyotes ? Floss/brush/rinse you only have 1 set of teeth ? Back to bed ? Set me up for the night no bedtime stories ? You will be trained as many nights as you need to feel comfortable.
Experience is not necessary.
Some of my best aids have been people with NO experience!!! I have a sense of humor, a lot of patients and am easy to get along with.
